COFFIN JOE Collection

Anchor Bay recently released a very nice box set with a total of 9 COFFIN JOE films (that includes one documentary)! The set looks nice!

Included in the box set is:
At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul (1964)
This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse (1967)
The Strange World Of Coffin Joe (1968)
Awakening Of The Beast (1970)
End Of Man (1971)
Strange Hostel Of Naked Pleasures (1976)
Hellish Flesh (1977)
Hallucinations Of A Deranged Mind (1978)
The Strange World Of Mojica Marins (2001)
But how is the quality compared to other releases? Not very good:

The Anchor Bay release is shit compared to the Fantoma release - BUT! This box set is a must; you got 8 COFFIN JOE films + a documentary. And they are all uncut! The screens and comparison comes courtesy of Benjamin C (Avmaniacs).

Thanks for that comparison Patrick. I'll be holding on to my Fantoma discs for sure. I would buy the set if it only featured the other titles. I'm hoping something like that happens in R1.
I wonder how the other movies compare to the Brazilian set that came out some time ago?

Mondo Macabro put out AWAKENING OF THE BEAST in a pretty good edition as far as I remember. I wish they'd put out all of them.

Of course I will buy this box. It dosen't look like shit at all, we're just all spoiled with high def Michael Bay-movies nowdays :)

I have the Fantoma releases to, and those are great!

Okay, not shit, but bad compared to other releases. I'm getting it myself, but I'm not pleased when it comes to the quality.

Michael Bay! I throw up a little eveytime I hear that name! He ruined my dream: A epic Transformers movie.
