The Thing Poster

Look at this beauty I got a hold off a couple of days ago:

The Thai poster for The Thing:

Isn't it beautiful? I love it. It will also get a good spot on my wall. Maybe next to my Thai poster of Antropophagus.

Finally...

.. got a movie I've been wanting for a long time, and which can be hard to get. It pops up every now and then, but it always goes for such high prices. But not this time, got this baby for $20:

The Stabilizer!! With the one and only Peter ''Rambu'' O'Brian. It's also out on DVD through TROMA, but I've heard so much shit about that disc, so why not get the Greek Ex-rental tape? Takes up much more space and is gonna be very useless when we get MegaforceLaserbeam discs after Blu-ray is dead.

I also got this tape, which seems awesome:

Another Greek ex-rental. 19 Girls and a Sailor. Get your filthy minds of my blog! This ain't no porn movie! The plot seems fun:

''A group of 19 young women, led by a partizan man, are the only people available to escort a number of partisan wounded in the struggle for freedom, in the mountain ranges invaded by the Nazi army. The crossing of difficult tracks, and a few encounters with enemy patrols provide danger, and death for some heroines''

Cemetery Without Crosses is screening at Cinemateket here in Norway. So if you live in Norway don't miss out on this! It will screen the 11th and 12th of November. Django will also be screened. Which is one of the best spaghetti westerns ever made! Django will be screened on the 14th and 16th of November. Be sure to show up.

Night of Death poster

Check out this Night of Death poster:

It's not the coolest poster ever, but it's one of the best movies ever, and it's hard to come by anything Night of Death related. But Synapse released the movie about a year ago, so if you haven't seen it, do it now!

The Troll Hunter (Trolljegeren)

I finally saw The Troll Hunter on friday. It was actually very good. And it's one of the first times I was proud of a Norwegian movie. You see, we suck at making movies. We are not original and we just copy everyone else. Especially in the horror genre. Some of our horror movies have had success in other countries, like Cold Prey and Dead Snow. But we are so far behind. We are sorta starting to develope what all other countries where doing 30-40 years ago. But The Troll Hunter was a breath of fresh air. It was funny and intense. Not everyone might understand the humuor, but it's fun. And you also get to see a bunch of beautiful Norwegian mountains and forests. Which I think Jack would like to see. Watch it. We need more folklore movies. Which I've been saying for the last 10 years.

Remember kids, I don't review movies. I just drunkenly rant about them. I'm gonna sleep it off now.

Happy Birthday Godzilla

Godzilla is 56 years old today. Congrats.

If you want to know more about Godzilla and other creatures like him, check out this site:

The Good, The Bad, And Godzilla

Also, buy his book. It's amazing!

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead had it's premiere on Sunday. The first episode was amazing! Truly amazing! Characters where believeble, Make up FX where believeble, and the teleplay was fucking beatiful. That was the thing that amazed me the most, the teleplay. Good work Darabont!

If you haven't seen it, then do. I've read the comics, but you can still watch the show if you haven't read the comics. It stands out great on it's own.
