I still haven't seen this movie, I've wanted for so long, so I bought the BCI DVD yesterday, but what I want to show you in this post is the Japanese Clarion VHS:
I don't know what it is, I just love this sleeve! I think it's the whole Bathory thing. I'm very fascinated by the myth that is Bathory's obessession with blood.
Very rare and beautiful tape, but the BCI DVD is uncut, so no need for it really, not for me at least. Hehe.

No surprises here! Japanese ex-rentals.
After getting the Japanese GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE VHS, I'm in a Japanese ex-rental mood. So I thought I'd post some scans. These are not mine, but enjoy:
Grave of the Vampire
I secured this item yesterday:
I've seen this tape two times on Ebay, and both times it went for over $200.
The Japanese Clarion release of GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE! The tape is very rare, but it's not a complete uncut version of the movie;
''The Japan version is missing some shots of the hammer murder and a scene with a close-up of the vampires face in the basement. The Unicorn tape is the same as the Japan version. The only uncut version was the one they showed on Showtime (or Cinemax - one of those pay channels a while back). It has scenes of the hammer murder not in ANY other version. The problem with that version is that it is cropped to 1.85 and horribly cuts off picture info. It's so bad you can't even see the guy on the porch of the house yelling to the guy and girl getting into the car."

Who'da thunk It! Norwegian ex-rentals - Part 5
Yet another part of the ''Who'da thunk It!'' series:

Lucio Fulci,
Norwegian ex-rental,
Umberto Lenzi
De Dødes Tjern DVD cover
Here it is! Finally! After all these years:
De Dødes Tjern (Lake of the dead) is THE best Norwegian horror movie ever! There hasn't been made many, but
this is pure suspense and terror. The only sad thing is that this release probably won't be something for other then us scandinavians, since it won't have subtitles, and if it does have subtiltes it's probably Norwegian, Danish and/or Swedish. But I don't know yet, I haven't seen any of the other ''Norwegian Classics'' releases.
I think the cover is amazing, unlike this Danish bastard. It's kinda Jugend (Art Nouveau)
And thank you Danish bastard, for the cover.
This will be one of the best movie nights in a long time!
Edit:
Lars Jacobsson's comment on Jack J's post:
''And since all the other Norske Filmklassiker-DVD:s I have contain english subs I suppose we could be pretty sure that this one has 'em too.''
Now you other bastards also have something to look forward too.

Detective Bureau 2-3: Go to Hell Bastards!
Wonderful movie!
Almost everything about this movie is fantastic, and if you haven't seen it, you should get to it straight away. This is a movie for movie folk in general. You'll love it if your a gorehound or a sucker for romantic comedy's. You all know by now that I'm not a reviewer! I hate writing reviews, because I feel that every review has to be 4 pages long and perfect.
Since this isn't a good post I'll also use it for some updates:
As you may have noticed I've been a bit slow lately and not present, but I'm working on something at the moment.
I'm also reading up on my math. But I'll get my ass down and write some goodies for you guys.

Aswang trailer?
What the hell is up with this trailer?
I saw the movie yesterday and none of the actors or scenes from this trailer where in the movie, except the pregnant girl. Now, I saw the director's cut, but was the director's cut a whole new movie? Did they re-shoot everything?
